The New Wave of Dental Hygiene
Sunday, April 11, 2010 @ 12:30 pm
In modern practice, questions have to be asked and answered. Is the hygiene department in most practices under utilised? Do we need our team to be confident so that they are able to package and promote all services? The response is that there is nothing more powerful than a strong hygiene department.
This program is geared to everyone within the dental office and will demonstrate their role in gaining patient acceptance by delivering consistency, communication and care by educating patients about risk factors and systemic disease.
- Consistency demonstrating the need for a periodontal program.
- Communication with use of positive terminology. Phraseology
- Care by keeping patients in health versus having them revert into active infection.
- Responsibility being shifted onto our patients to have them own their periodontal disease and their oral health
- Packaging and promoting total body health.
