Raj Rattan is a practising dentist and a part-time dento-legal adviser at Dental Protection. He is a postgraduate Associate Dean at the London Deanery and responsible for postgraduate training programmes for newly qualified dentists.
He has authored/co-authored seven textbooks on various aspects of dentistry, and lectures extensively on a variety of subjects relevant to general dental practice. Formerly a Policy Adviser to the Department of Health, he acts as an adviser and consultant to a number of professional organisations both within the NHS and the private sector.

The session will look at aspects of dentistry from different perspectives and discuss ethical, moral, clinical and business perspectives and the conflict that exists amongst these and the consequences of mis-managing this conflict (hence the insertion of the word forensic).
