"Precision-Based Endodontics" (Lecture and Hands-On)
Friday, April 4, 2008 @ 8:15 am

This very popular format allows the participant to receive in-depth training in how to perform "Precision-Based Endodontics."

The initial session covers real world access, the constant taper preparation (orifice to apex) and its benefits, as well as the most efficient methods to accomplish this canal shape. In addition to discussing multiple concepts and techniques, we will focus on the new "Sequence System" for performing, predictable, reproducible and consistent shaping and obturation. Quality obturation is virtually assured with the new concepts and techniques you will learn.

The hands-on session provides the participants the opportunity to use "Precision-Based" techniques to "machine a preparation" and obturate canals utilizing the latest Real World Endo technology. Time will be dedicated to "Preventing the Separation of Rotary Files", as well as, developing safe and efficient techniques. Digital radiography and the use of ultrasonics will also be available to course participants. We will deliver "Just the Facts . . . Nothing but the Facts."

During this lecture you will learn how to:
  1. Visualize and create the "Ideal Access" preparation
  2. Fully understand "Crown-Down" philosophy
  3. Appreciate and perform the fully tapered .04 and .06 preparation
  4. Differentiate between Constant and Variable Taper Systems
  5. Make instrumentation and obturation "Precision-Based" and quality oriented
  6. Appreciate new hand file designs that compliment rotary techniques
  7. Experience "Rheostat-free" Endodontics
  8. Perform "Painless Endodontics" in your practice.

Attendees should bring multiple extracted teeth accessed and negotiated to length with a 10-k file.
