Dr. Amarjit Gill qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital, University of London in 1981. He has always enjoyed being in general practice and practices in Nottingham (UK) with three colleagues and two part-time hygienists where the work is mainly private.
He was recently listed as one of the top five most influential dentists in the UK and was recently elected to be the British Dental Association's (BDA's) Presidential Candidate.
In the BDA, he has been a main Board Director from 2000 until 2008 inclusive. Politically, he is on record with his belief that quotes, "for those colleagues who recognise it's their patients that count - not the funding of the mechanism - the future is bright".
Amarjit has been a consultant to several dental companies including reviewing and advising on the launching of their dental products. He is a competent freelance journalist and acclaimed public speaker who has received many awards including being an invited Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics.

The lecture entitled 'Professional & Profitable Dentistry for the Dental Team" will enable practices to offer an additional in-house professional service, on a profitable basis. The talk will focus on using "Photodisinfection" as an innovative part of the practice armamentarium. Patients with periodontal problems can be offered a quick, Hi-Tec, painless, non antibiotic therapy instead of being referred. All staff members who work and are interested in the diagnosis, communication and treatment of periodontal disease should attend.
