Ms. Cheryl Antoinette Corbin will chair the forensic section of Caribbean Dental Program. She is the Director of the Forensic Sciences Centre, Office of the Attorney General in Barbados. She is married with two sons and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree in Chemistry from the University of the West Indies (1985), and a Masters of Science in Forensic Science from King's College University of London (1989).
She has the distinction of being the first qualified Forensic Scientist in Barbados and joined the Barbados Civil Service in 1986 working in the field of Forensics since that time. She has stood as Project Co-ordinator for both United Nations and European Union regional forensic projects as well as consultant on a number of national projects. Cheryl has received professional training from the FBI, DEA, ICITAP, Metrodade Police Dept, University of Glasgow and other local agencies in Barbados.
She is the Gazetted analyst for the territories of Anguilla, Antigua, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Lucia and is presently a consultant with the Ministry of Justice in St. Lucia on their Forensic Upgrading Program and is also the President of the Caribbean Council of Forensic Laboratory Heads.
